Jordan Kuwait Bank and Coventry University launch new international scholarship

A new scholarship scheme was launched by Jordan Kuwait Bank (JKB) and Coventry University in the UK. The scholarship scheme will fund the full tuition fees for two Jordanian nationals, enabling them to study a post graduate degree at Coventry’s globally renowned Faculty of Business and Law. The agreement was signed by H.E. Mr. Abdel Karim Kabariti, Chairman of Jordan Kuwait Bank, and Coventry’s Deputy Director for International Development, Justin Wood, at the Bank’s Head Quarters in Abdali. The initiative is expected to attract a large number of applications from recent Jordanian graduates and professionals alike; as Coventry is a popular choice for Jordanian students wishing to study overseas, being one of the top British universities. On this occasion Mr. Kabariti stated: “JKB and as part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives contributes to various educational and youth empowerment programs  within the local community which in return contribute towards Jordan’s economic and social development, and which we consider an important dimension to embodying our motto “More than just a bank”. It gives us great pride to be collaborating with one of the top British universities; where not only will the beneficiaries be receiving an education but also benefit from the cultural and social exposure in the UK.” On his part, Coventry University’s Deputy Director for International Development, Justin Wood said: “We are proud to be ranked the UK’s 12th best university, attracting nearly 8000 international students from 140 countries. The close relationships Coventry University enjoys with industry leaders across the globe lie at the heart of this success – indeed they are a key reason why we have a 97% graduate employability rate. It’s a great honour to add Jordan Kuwait Bank to our list of global partners and we’re really excited about welcoming the Jordanian scholars who will join us through this initiative.”
